- For those of you interested in monitor calibration, this is the info
- that I have received. Apparently, this is currently the only way to
- calibrate the new Sony monitors.
-
- There is a DAS kit, sold by Sony, that includes an Interface cable,
- 9 & 25 pin RS-232 adapters, DAS software and manual, and a security
- key to run the software. The software runs on a DOS-based PC and
- controls the monitor's settings through the serial port. The
- settings are then saved in memory. You can purchased the kit from
- the Sony Kansas City Parts Center (KCPC).

- You (obviously) need a PC -- Sony also says that you need a signal
- generator. They recommend their signal generator, Team System
- VG-515 ($2800), which can be installed on a DOS machine. I'm not
- sure why you need a signal generator since you are going to use
- the signal from the computer for calibration...
