  8. For those of you interested in monitor calibration, this is the info 
  9. that I have received.  Apparently, this is currently the only way to 
  10. calibrate the new Sony monitors.

  12. There is a DAS kit, sold by Sony, that includes an Interface cable, 
  13. 9 & 25 pin RS-232 adapters, DAS software and manual, and a security 
  14. key to run the software.  The software runs on a DOS-based PC and 
  15. controls the monitor's settings through the serial port.  The 
  16. settings are then saved in memory.  You can purchased the kit from 
  17. the Sony Kansas City Parts Center (KCPC).

  25. You (obviously) need a PC -- Sony also says that you need a signal 
  26. generator.  They recommend their signal generator, Team System 
  27. VG-515 ($2800), which can be installed on a DOS machine.  I'm not 
  28. sure why you need a signal generator since you are going to use 
  29. the signal from the computer for calibration...
