For those of you interested in monitor calibration, this is the info
that I have received. Apparently, this is currently the only way to
calibrate the new Sony monitors.
There is a DAS kit, sold by Sony, that includes an Interface cable,
9 & 25 pin RS-232 adapters, DAS software and manual, and a security
key to run the software. The software runs on a DOS-based PC and
controls the monitor's settings through the serial port. The
settings are then saved in memory. You can purchased the kit from
the Sony Kansas City Parts Center (KCPC).

You (obviously) need a PC -- Sony also says that you need a signal
generator. They recommend their signal generator, Team System
VG-515 ($2800), which can be installed on a DOS machine. I'm not
sure why you need a signal generator since you are going to use
the signal from the computer for calibration...
